MJFF 2021 Conference: The Michael J. Fox. Foundation (MJFF) has held a Parkinson’s Therapeutics Conference annually every fall, starting from 2009. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, last year in 2020, was the first time they did not hold a conference. As the pandemic continues to be prevalent, for the concern of public safety, the MJFF has announced they will not hold an in-person conference this fall.
What is Michael J. Fox. Foundation (MJFF) Parkinson’s Disease (PD) Therapeutics Conference?
The annual PD conference was the only conference in the world that focused solely on PD research and drug development. Traditionally, over 300 researchers, business development professionals, and members of academia and the biotech industry attend. The focus of the conference is to present the exciting and novel research being funded by the foundation and the progress being made to develop a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
The event is a platform that not only provides the opportunity to highlight current research, but also to connect members of the community and encourage collaboration. In lieu of a conference this year, the MJFF has been holding virtual webinars covering a variety of topics, including both patient and research focused events.
